Nestlé / Product Positioning Strategy

Nestlé has long been a leading manufacturer and distributor of fast moving consumer goods in lower income countries worldwide. Over the course of the last decade, the company has generated scores of initiatives and innovations in micro-nutrient delivery, micro-distribution, and health education partnerships. In 2006, the company engaged The Next Practice to organize a company-wide sharing of best practices and strategy review for the ‘BOP’ market segment. Following a series of consultations, the project culminated in a three-day workshop involving senior executives, and market and product heads. The lead client reported, “Many Nestlé “old-timers” said it was the best and most value-added workshop they ever attended.”
